2.5 Wordpress Looks Good So Far
Just like the title says, Wordpress 2.5 looks good so far. The first thing I noticed is the add media option. From Flash to Quicktime, it’s the media embedding support I like to see.
Oh, and SeedsForWealth.com/Blog is dead. It’s talking from the grave now.
My Headers Made It Onto SmashingMagazine!
SmashingMagazine, Alexa Score 3532, has just released their article for the Blog Header Contest and I made it. I held my breathe scrolling down the article since I didn’t know what to expect and right there, in eighth position mind you, the first 5 of the Sexiest Dirty Underground Theme were displayed in brilliant light!
I’m still coming down from that high. Next, they’re going to reward some random participants with some prizes. Now if one of those prizes should comes my way I’ll have to throw a contest of my own and share the wealth. We’ll see.
Free Web Headers - The Sexiest Dirty Underground - Vol 1
Here are five free headers from my first headers theme collection called The Sexiest Dirty Underground. It’s what I submitted to Smashing Magazine for their header contest. Hope they get chosen. They are all 850 x 200 which should fit the majority of blogs and under 60 kb for best loading.
In any case, I’m releasing these headers free to use however you like. I’ve set up the preview and download through Deviant Art to help record which ones you’re interested in. You know, to help with aiming my style.

A Change In Design Sometimes Releases The Floods
One thing I’ve noticed about websites is that sometimes just a change in header design leads to more website activity. It’s funny because in the early days of this blog for the longest time it wasn’t getting any comments, and all I did was change the header and boom, comments started pouring in like I knocked down the dam or something. It was crazy.

What is RSS?
RSS is like finally getting to have your own newspaper with only the stuff you like. When someone asks you to subscribe by RSS they’re hoping you’ll add them to your newspaper. Imagine having 100 RSS subscriptions to websites you like. Instead of having to visit each of those 100 websites, their stuff will now just show up in your newspaper, and best of all whenever they update their websites with new stuff your newspaper will alert you. That’s cool, baby!
How Do You Get Your Very Own Newspaper?
Your own newspaper is something called an RSS reader. There are many to choose from but I use Google Reader. Google’s Reader is intuitive enough for about anyone and it’s way popular. They also have a good viewing area that some of the others haven’t got right.
What About Getting Updated News Sent To My Email?
Yes, this can be done and some prefer it. I also have a few RSS subscriptions that come only to my email box. I do this sometimes to test out an RSS subscription. Later, after a good site has proven itself worthy I’ll add them to my Google Reader. But that’s just me. You could subscribe to RSS by email because you don’t want to be bothered with an RSS reader. Hey, it’s like that for some.

Yes, you should subscribe. By Reader(newspaper) or by Email. You don’t want to miss what’ll be revealed in a few days!
Smashing Header Graphics Contest
Smashing Magazine is holding a header design contest that ends March 1st. It would be great getting recognized on Smashing Magazine. Especially when it’s being part of a resource page. Those pages get bookmarked by social sites everywhere and rank really high in the search engines. This kind of opportunity is golden!
Wish me luck. I have to create a five header pack all with the dimensions 850×200. If you have some ideas for an appealing style of header do share! That’s what blogs are for!
