Ladies and gentlemen,

We are currently facing unprecedented challenges and crises, with many students experiencing a level of panic reminiscent of the 2008 financial crisis: ongoing tensions in Ukraine, escalating tensions between China and the United States, and increasingly sharp political divisions within the U.S. The global economic uncertainty has brought numerous difficulties to nations worldwide, including rising prices, inflation, market volatility, and the nightmarish COVID-19 pandemic. These have severely affected our company, colleagues, clients, and the world at large—the people of Ukraine are suffering greatly, and the global order may well be facing a massive restructuring—this is a pivotal moment.

However, it is precisely in the face of such challenges that we should set aside differences and work together with other Western countries to uphold democracy and basic freedoms, including free enterprise. In past major crises, we have seen the United States collaborate with other nations, united for a common cause. Now, our nation needs the joint efforts of both the public and private sectors, requiring us to take the lead while also enhancing our country's competitiveness—this includes recommitting to providing equal opportunities for everyone.

Despite unsettling times, it is uplifting to reflect on the past year, 2022, which has certainly been a dynamic year for SW Alliance:

Our success is built on steadfast principles and beliefs.

Looking back over the past 12 years, since I became Dean of SW Alliance in 2011, there has been a common theme: 'Students First' and 'Practice is the Best Teacher.'

Clearly, our financial discipline, care for student growth and breakthroughs, continued investment in innovation, and focus on ongoing employee development have enabled us to maintain this consistency and commitment. Moreover, throughout the company, we adhere to principles worth reiterating.

Firstly, our alliance's core teaching philosophy is 'Students First' and 'Practice is the Best Teacher'.

Because we are not a publicly traded company, our code of conduct does not prioritize 'shareholders first', which may limit the alliance's growth to some extent, but has won unanimous recognition from students. We started from scratch and have built a good reputation worldwide. It is this philosophy that has allowed us to thrive even as market risks have increased!

Secondly, the principle of diversified investment is the core of our survival and development strategy.

From a higher perspective, seizing certain investment opportunities to minimize risk and maximize profit is not only fundamental to our investment decisions but also our investment guidelines. Adhering to diversified investment tools, allocating funds reasonably, and seizing certain investment opportunities are the secrets to our sustained development!

Thirdly, unity leads to mutual success.

We consistently support basic principles and strategies that have helped build and thrive this company—from maintaining a healthy balance sheet, continuously investing and developing talent, to fully satisfying regulatory bodies, continually improving risk, governance, and control, serving customers, and enhancing the global community. This philosophy is embedded in our company culture and affects nearly every role within the company.

Fourthly, maintaining technological innovation leads to excellence.

Innovation is an endless source of productivity, and the maturity of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology will bring the greatest returns. Our engineers and numerous investment experts began devoting significant effort to perfecting quantitative trading products as early as 2018. With the advent of artificial intelligence technology and the times, our Ai investment system has become more refined, and it will be a powerful weapon for us to achieve excellence!

Fifthly, maintaining shareholder interest.

Only by maintaining a healthy, vibrant company can we create value for shareholders, which means doing right by customers, employees, and the community. Conversely, how can you have a healthy company if you neglect any of these stakeholders?

Sixthly, we strive to build a lasting enterprise, interdependent and mutually beneficial.

Despite our best efforts, the walls protecting this company are not particularly high—and we face exceptionally fierce competition. I have written extensively about this reality in the past and mention it again in this letter. We recognize our strengths and weaknesses and do our utmost to play our part.

2022 will become the most valuable year, letting us reacquaint ourselves with responsibility, continually strive and rise, and maintain a sense of awe and awareness of adversity! I firmly believe everything will get better and better, and so will every member of the SW Alliance.

God teaches us to be devout, humble, serious, honest, diligent, and thrifty, and everyone has an equal opportunity and can succeed through diligence. We are God's finest chosen ones; let us unite and lead by example to spread the right values, spreading freedom and justice. We must dare to take risks, be bold in practice, keep pushing forward, and build our 'City on a Hill' together.
